Advantage Reliability Services, Inc. provides Operational Deflection Shape Testing (ODS Testing), an extension of Phase analysis used to analyze the vibratory motion of rotating equipment and structures. Magnitude and phase data are collected during normal operation and used to animate a computer generated model of the equipment.

Operational Deflection Shape Testing aids in identifying the fault at its source which is often difficult using route based vibration analysis alone. It is effective in identifying faults such as looseness, soft joints, and bending and twisting in the equipment and support structure, allowing you to fully understand the problem and apply the proper corrective action.
